Handling Problem Horses June 23-27 & September 2-6

"Handling Problem Horses" is designed to help those who have a problem horse to learn how to deal with the problem and hopefully eliminate it with patience, proper handling and repetition, stressing safety and developing a trusting relationship with the horse.
Attendees may bring their own horse at least one day during the camp to work out the problems.

Proper Horse Care July 7-11 & August 4-8

| "Proper Horse Care" is for those who already own a horse or are thinking of buying/leasing one. We shall stress safety and all aspects of proper horse care including grooming, stabling, feed, farrier, handling, veterinary needs and medications, recognizing lameness and other health problems like colic, founder, etc. This course is strongly recommended for those who already own/lease a horse, but have limited knowledge and experience in caring for them and those who are thinking of buying/leasing one for the first time. Enrollment is limited to ten (10) per session. |
Safety Issues for Horse and Handler July 21-25 & August 18-22
5 days - $375 per person (Ages 12-18) |
| "Safety Issues for Horse and Handler" is a course for anyone dealing with horses. We shall observe and learn the safe manner of handling a horse to prevent injury to handler or horse, as well as safe stabling and pastures, tack and equipment, leg wraps, ground handling under normal and emergency circumstances, etc. This course is highly recommended for anyone working with horses, regardless of the level of experience. Enrollment is limited to ten (10) per session. |
Equipment
required for riding: riding boots or sport shoes (with a heel)
and a helmet.
A "Certificate
of Accomplishment" will be issued upon completion of the
session.
